life lately

December 14, 2015

life is busy lately and that's such a great thing. i can't complain. if i do, husband will gladly tell you that i get all down in the dumps when i'm not busy. i'm weird like that and always like to feel like i'm on the move, accomplishing something, discovering something, helping someone, or just doing something productive. that's probably one of the reasons i actually wanted to officially start blogging. now i can share my happenings with you guys, and when i do have some down time, i have a reason to want to create or explore.

lately we have been attending lots of holiday parties, doing some christmas shopping (again, for myself!! i really need to start shopping for everyone else asap!!!), and doing a lot of photo shoots/ event photos. i can't wait to share some of the beautiful images that we have been taking!! in the mean time, i want to show you some of the fine art photography we have been creating together.

i'm totally not a fashion blogger by any means, but i have been getting requests on my outfit details so i'm happy to share my tips ;)  my red dress is by free people found at tj maxx and my white dress is from h&m.  i am the thriftiest shopper i know, i'm sure you'll learn that about me soon enough.  free people is one of my favorite brands, yet i can't bring myself to ever pay full price.  stores like tj maxx and marshalls are my absolute favorite for different brand name finds for less.  #maxxinista!!!!  i'm also an avid "clearance" shopper.  most times when i go out shopping, i'm never really looking for anything in particular, but rather just "treasure hunting".  it's my favorite way of shopping, and i certainly find the best deals that way!  i found this white lace dress in the clearance section for $10 when summer was ending and knew it was coming home with me.  (i edited this post to include my outfit details, in case you were wondering!)
