i'm all about grl power!  i recently joined a networking group with all women influencers supporting other women influencers and women girl bosses and i am living for it!  i had no idea there were so many networking communities of like minded women just trying to support one another.  i mean, i guess i assumed there were but i never went out looking for them.  and now that i'm part of it, i feel so inspired and empowered daily!  it's amazing!!  it's so beautiful to connect with so many like minded females!

with so much hate going on in this world and so much negativity, it's so beautiful to see people coming together to support one another!  it's amazing for everyone to be positive and supportive, but let's be real, grl power is the best power!  ;)

who's ready for fall???  i'm not!  but whether i'm ready or not, it's just around the corner.  and so i've been trying to find ways to transition my summer wardrobe into fall.  denim is really in style for the coming season and i can't help but love it.  give me all the distressed denim with frayed hems, thank you very much.  and how easy is it to throw on a kimono over a simple outfit like a tank top and some jeans?  i've been doing it for years and just love the way it looks.  so simple and perfect for the transition into a cooler season.  win-win!

i wore this outfit on a little date with my hunny for my birthday.  we went to this new taco spot in montclair called tacoria.  (they also have another location in new brunswick for all my jersey people).  the pollo asado and al pastor tacos were my favorite!!!!  speaking of which, maybe we can stop by there this weekend to pick up some tacos.  i'm always in the mood for tacos ;)

28.

two days ago i turned 28 years old.  with each passing year i keep thinking  i'm still so young.  i still have so much life to live.  and in so many ways, that is true.  i am still young and i do still have so much life to live.  but there's just something each passing year that just makes me stop dead in my tracks.  how am i 28?!

there's been so much hate and negativity out in the world lately.  and i just feel like life is way too short to be so hateful towards another.  there is just so much love to give!  being positive and spreading as much love as i can makes me truly happy.  things can truly be as simple as putting someone else's feelings before our own.  doing something that will make someone else happy instead of thinking "i don't want to".

my dad always taught me that sometimes in  life we have to do things that we don't want to do.  and this lesson has truly helped in my relationships and i'm so grateful he put so much emphasis on that growing up.  i think his purpose was to prepare me for the real world- getting a job, going to college, and doing adult things.  but it has helped me be selfless in my relationships with others.  which, let's face it, we are constantly interacting with others!

so here's to another beautiful year of life and to spreading love...because i think the world needs it!

last month junior and i stayed in philadelphia for a little weekend getaway.  my sister is getting married next month and so we haven't really gone on many getaways this year.  i guess we could have totally squeezed in a few getaways here or there, but with the wedding coming up, there's always something to do or help out with.

getaways with my hubs are always my favorite.  i swear, it's like a reset button for our marriage.  just being in a new scene and doing something that isn't our normal routine.  it does wonders for us and our sanity!

i got this dress at express on sale.  they have a few sizes left but i've also linked some other dresses below (because one can never own enough dresses).  and these shoes are the most comfortable sandals!  i got them in the beginning of the season and am obsessed!  i can wear them for hours and not be in pain!  cute and comfortable...i'm here for it!
